Real-Time Execution Trace Toolkit 2.0 ReadmeAugust 2007 System RequirementsLabVIEW Real-Time Module or LabWindowsTM/CVITM Real-Time Module Installation InstructionsComplete the following steps to install the Real-Time Execution Trace Toolkit. Installing the Real-Time Execution Trace Toolkit 2.0 removes any existing previous versions of the LabVIEW Execution Trace Toolkit. - Insert the CD that contains the Real-Time Execution Trace Toolkit.
- Run the setup.exe program.
- Follow the instructions that appear on the screen.
Accessing the Help from LabVIEWRefer to the LabVIEW Help, accessible by selecting Help»Search the LabVIEW Help from the pull-down menu in LabVIEW, for information about the Execution Trace Toolkit VIs. Accessing the Help from LabWindows/CVIRefer to the LabWindows/CVI Help, accessible by selecting Help»Contents in LabWindows/CVI, for information about using the Real-Time Execution Trace Toolkit in LabWindows/CVI. Finding Examples in LabVIEWLabVIEW examples for the Real-Time Execution Trace Toolkit are located in the labview\examples\tracetool\ folder. You can modify an example VI to fit an application, or you can copy and paste from one or more examples into a VI that you create. You also can find example VIs using the NI Example Finder. Select Help»Find Examples to launch the NI Example Finder. You also can click the arrow on the Open button on the LabVIEW dialog box and select Examples from the shortcut menu to launch the NI Example Finder. Use the Browse or Search page of the NI Example Finder to find an example VI. In the Browse page, the Real-Time Execution Trace Toolkit examples are located in the Toolkits and Modules»Execution Trace Toolkit folder. Finding Examples in LabWindows/CVIYou can find example programs using the NI Example Finder. Select Help»Find Examples in LabWindows/CVI to launch the NI Example Finder. Known IssuesThe Real-Time Execution Trace Toolkit 2.0 includes the following known issues at the time of release. - Events near the end of the trace may not be visible until zoomed in.
